We can name this model a Neon 3.0. This first-generation of the compact sedan was a decent model, to be honest. The 2019 Dodge Neon will borrow some cues from the Fiat Tipo and Egea models. Tipo model saw some great improvements in Europe when it comes to sale. Over 125,000 units were sold in 2017 in Europe. However, Neon, that is currently available in Mexico, comes with a more unique design. It means the exterior isn’t based at Tipo at all. With the exterior as the only real difference, Neon looks better than Fiat Tipo, in our opinion.

The base model offers 15-inch steel wheels. Upper trims are available with 16 or 17-inch alloy wheels. Range-topping SXT Plus models are offering body-color mirrors and bumpers. Front directional fog lights are available as well. The rear part adds distinctive taillights that are larger than the on the rest of the company’s sedans. However, it is a perfect combination of a compact car and larger exterior features.

Neon is available in six different exterior colors. Those colors are Bright White Clear Coat, Black Metallic, Blue Venezia Metallic, Grey Metallic Clear Coat, and Light Gray Metallic. The most popular choice, at least in Mexico is the Red Metallic exterior paint.
2019 Dodge Neon interior is roomy and stylish
We just can’t praise enough the interior of the all-new 2019 Dodge Neon. Forget about the uniqueness as this compact sedan offers the same interior as its siblings from Fiat. However, it is a good thing as the cabin looks quite impressive. The dashboard is customizable, which means you can choose between two different touchscreens. A 5.0-inch touchscreen is standard but you can choose the optional tablet-style display as well.
The switchgear is the same as in the Fiat Tipo, but the steering wheel is closer to the rest of Dodge’s vehicles. The interior design looks very revolutionary. For a compact sedan such as Neon, legroom and headroom are surprisingly ample.
There is room for five passengers and even rear occupants can enjoy in comfort and spaceness. There are four different two-tone interior schemes and all of them are gorgeous. Two-tone desert sand and two-tone dark grey schemes are looking astonishing.
2019 Dodge Neon engine and acceleration
The forthcoming 2019 Dodge Neon comes with two drivetrain choices. Well, three if the rumors are correct. A standard engine is a 1.4-liter four-cylinder that returns 95 horses and 94 lb-ft of torque. Higher trim levels and special variants will benefit from another four-cylinder unit. This time, it is a 1.6-liter engine which generates 110 HP and 112 lb-ft of torque.
A 1.3-liter diesel variant could arrive in the near future as well. It is another four-cylinder unit that is rated at 104 horsepower and 155 lb-ft of torque. The standard engine delivers 29 mpg in the city and 36 mpg on the highway. The 2019 Neon sprints from 0 to 62 mph in 7.4 seconds.
2019 Dodge Neon price and release date
It will be interesting to see another compact sedan entering the competition. The 2019 Dodge Neon is, for now, available only in Mexico. However, the U.S. markets will get its Neon sedan at the beginning of 2019.
It is a hard task for this car as the U.S. markets are SUV-hungry and there is no space for hatchbacks. Furthermore, Neon is not offering a hybrid variant which could lead to even fewer interests. The price of the Dodge Neon starts at $16,000 for the base model.
