Besides Ford Super Duty and Chevy Silverado HD, the Ram 2500 and 3500 HD trucks are among the finest in their class. According to reports, no heavy-duty truck competition will be able to match the 2023 Ram HD lineup next year. Naturally, Ford and Chevrolet have excellent heavy-duty trucks. Ram, on the other hand, excels in areas such as interior elegance and ride quality.
These trucks have a spacious cabin and a carrying capability of up to 37,000 pounds. There’s no shortage of technology within the interior, with both models including a 12-inch touchscreen infotainment system. This series of trucks will be ready in the second half of 2022, according to Ram.
Ram HD Exterior Facelift
The forthcoming 2023 Ram HD trucks will feature a sleeker look, similar to the Ram 1500. The split grille is complemented by directional LED headlights. According to Ram, each trim level has its own grille. The Power Wagon, for example, has a better grille and more aesthetic features. The Ram 3500, unlike the Ram 2500, comes with either single or dual rear wheels.
The Dually version looks exactly the same, but it adds more capability. The Ram will add thinner taillights and maintain the same bed layout for 2023. We can’t call it a redesign, but some cosmetic upgrades are significant enough.
Interior Changes
Both HD models, as well as the Ram 1500, will appeal to buyers. The next 2023 Ram HD trucks are made of high-quality materials, have lots of space, and come with a slew of standard tech features. There’s a single cab, a four-door Crew Cab, and a massive Mega Cab to choose from. While the interiors of Ford, Chevy, and GMC rivals are good, the Ram has the best.
Ram features the largest 12-inch touchscreen in the class. It also offers more standard equipment. That includes features such as Android Auto/Apple CarPlay, GPS, and Wi-Fi. Standard features also include three 115-volt outlets and additional USB ports. The cabin changes aren’t as striking as they could be, but the interior is still modern.
Engine Specs
Three powerplant options are available for the future 2023 Ram HD. The base engine is a 6.4-liter V8 with 410 horsepower and 440 lb-ft of torque. With four-wheel drive only, this engine is paired with an excellent eight-speed automatic transmission. On various versions, a familiar turbodiesel Cummins engine with rear- or four-wheel drive is offered. Both the Ram 2500 and Ram 3500 models will be able to produce 370 horsepower and 850 lb-ft of torque as a result of this.
The following one, which is only available on the 3500 model produces 400 horsepower and 1075 lb-ft of torque. This unit is only available on the 3500 model. A six-speed automatic transmission is shared by both engines. With its Cummins engine, the new Ram 3500 can tow 37,100 pounds and carry almost 8000 pounds. This truck can tow 14,400 pounds with a normal gasoline V8.
2023 Ram HD Price, Release Date
The price of the 2023 Ram HD will slightly increase. Thanks to that, the new model will cost $36,500. Moreover, the Ram 3500 will be slightly more expensive than the Ram 2500 variant, around $1,000 higher. The sales should begin at some point during the second half of the next year.
