The upcoming 2023 Jeep Wagoneer is likely to be a carryover. Both the Wagoneer and the bigger Grand Wagoneer are basically brand-new models, and they represent the brand’s top full-size SUVs. The most recent Wagoneer model is possibly the most luxurious Jeep in the United States.
Although Jeep hasn’t disclosed 2023 Wagoneer specs yet, we do know that the company intends to introduce a zero-emission all-electric Wagoneer SUV by 2025. It is unclear whether a fully electric SUV will be available in 2023 or 2024. Jeep’s electrification push began with the Wrangler 4xe last year.
Jeep Wagoneer Exterior Upgrades
The new 2023 Jeep Wagoneer and Grand Wagoneer are getting the same upgrades. The Wagoneer is a luxury model that is 10 inches longer than the Grand Cherokee L. Jeep done an excellent job at recreating the original Wagoneer design from the 1960s. The new model, of course, is more modern and attractive. With its wider windows and distinctive seven-slot grille, the vehicle’s form is instantly identifiable.
Wagoneer was noted for its side wood paneling, but the new model will not have it. Instead, Jeep chose distinctive wheel arches, a stylish beltline, LED headlights, LED taillights, and a hands-free power liftgate. The manufacturer will offer regular 20-inch wheels, with optional 22-inch rims. Finally, there are several optional packages available, such as an all-terrain package. As we said, Wagoneer is a new model, so we don’t expect any sort of upgrades.
The cabin of the 2023 Jeep Wagoneer will be more similar to that of the original Wagoneer. The goal is to deliver simple concepts with artistic design and a plethora of high-quality materials. There are wood details, leather seats, and a lot of metal accents. As a result, the Wagoneer became the brand’s most luxurious model. Nappa leather upholstery, a digital instrument cluster, and a one-piece dashboard are standard.
A 10.1-inch infotainment touchscreen is standard, as is the next-generation Uconnect5 system. The Wagoneer SUV has eight seats, although a seven-seat Wagoneer is also available. The cabin space is quite large, including the cargo area. Still, the interior’s best feature is its incredible high-tech department. The Wagoneer includes Wi-Fi, navigation, and the latest driver-assistance aids.
Potent Hybrid Powertrain
The upcoming 2023 Jeep Grand Wagoneer is powered by a 5.7-liter eTorque V8. It is a 48-volt mild-hybrid setup producing 392 hp. Moreover, Wagoneer SUV will provide 404 lb-ft of torque. The performance is excellent, and this SUV can tow up to 10,000 pounds.
An eight-speed automatic transmission is also available. As previously stated, the Wagoneer is a truck-based body-on-frame SUV with independent rear suspension. The Grand Wagoneer will get a bigger 6.4-liter V8 engine with 470 horsepower and 455 lb-ft of torque.
Release Date, Price
As for the price, the new 2023 Jeep Wagoneer will start at $60,000 or slightly below that. If you want more luxury, the range-topping trim level will surely cost above $80k. Jeep will launch its luxury SUV later next year, which means the Wagoneer model is less than a year away.
