New spy photographs of the full-size 2023 Jeep Wagoneer L SUV are here. It appears to be identical to the Grand Cherokee L variant, sharing the same styling cues. Reportedly, the prototype was spotted testing besides a normal Wagoneer. As a result, we can look at the size difference first. The existing Wagoneer is 214.7 inches long.
However, the Wagoneer L should be identical to stretched versions of rivals such as the Cadillac Escalade. The approaching SUV will have more space for the second and third rows, as well as better cargo space, thanks to its expanded platform compared to the regular Wagoneer model. Without further ado, here’s everything you need to know about this new model.
We believe the next 2023 Jeep Wagoneer L will retain the old model’s attractive appearance. The new SUV has been spotted testing alongside the current Grand Wagoneer, as we reported earlier. Both variants have the same boxy design as previous Jeep SUVs.
A traditional seven-slot grille, new wheel arches, and 20-inch wheels are all available as standard. Furthermore, Jeep said the larger 22-inch rims will be optional on the entry-level models. The stretched variants have the same LED headlights and taillights as the standard model, plus a steel side step and skid plates.
Jeep Wagoneer L Dimensions
The 2023 Jeep Wagoner L, like the Grand Wagoneer L, is longer than the base versions. Basically, the “L” designation means that the model is 12-inches longer and is also offering a wheelbase that is 7-inches longer. This means the Wagoneer L is 226.7-inches long. Additionally, the Wagoneer L is around four inches longer than the rivals such as Lincoln Navigator or Chevy Suburban. On the other hand, most of the rivals are offering longer wheelbases. On the other hand, the longer version will add almost 300 pounds of weight.
The new 2023 Jeep Wagoneer L will have a more spacious cabin than the current Wagoneer. Through three rows of seats, this version should comfortably accommodate seven or eight occupants. We also expect it to introduce significantly more cargo room. Behind the third row, the normal Wagoneer offers 27.4 cubic feet of cargo space, which can be enlarged to 71 cubic feet.
This SUV will not depart from the base version in other categories. It is a luxury model with Nappa leather upholstery and a one-piece dash with a digital instrument cluster. You can choose between a 10.1-inch or 12.0-inch reconfigurable Uconnect 5 infotainment touchscreen.
Recently, Stellantis officially announced a new twin-turbo 3.0-liter six-cylinder engine. However, it didn’t specify which models will get it. Now, it is clear that the 2023 Jeep Wagoneer L will be one of the first models to use this engine.
Even the Grand Wagoneer L will get the same engine, but it will be a high-output version. This powertrain can produce 420 horsepower in Wagoneer L, and 500 horsepower in the Grand Wagoneer L model. Reportedly, this engine will produce 468 lb-ft of torque.
2023 Jeep Wagoneer L Release Date, Price
The price of the longer Wagoneer models is not available yet. However, we know that the regular Wagoneer SUV with a 4WD system starts at $64,000. This means the 2023 Jeep Wagoneer L will cost around $70,000. The sales will begin later in 2022.
