The upcoming 2023 Jeep Compass Trailhawk is getting additional upgrades. The next Compass will be a carryover model, as Jeep recently introduced a redesign. However, the Trailhawk variant should gain a couple of important updates. The Compass Trailhawk is one of the range-topping trim levels. It is an off-road-oriented model and it comes with unique features.
That includes various off-road gear, additional ground clearance, and much more. We expect to see subtle visual upgrades, a couple of interior improvements, and better safety. As for the performance, nothing will change under the hood. The sales will begin in the second half of 2022.
Jeep Compass Trailhawk Facelift
The 2023 Jeep Compass Trailhawk will be the models’ best-selling point. After a redesign for 2022MY, the new Compass will be a carryover. However, we read a couple of reports that are suggesting unique upgrades for the Trailhawk trim level exclusively. We don’t know what the upgrades are, so this is just a rumor for now.
The Trailhawk trim offers all-terrain tires, underbody skid plates, and additional ground clearance. Thanks to that, this SUV is a perfect off-roader. It can beat all sorts of rugged terrains, which makes Compass Trailhawk one of the most capable compact SUVs. Lastly, this model comes with red tow hooks, a new hood decal, and a unique seven-slat front grille.
We also expect to see a couple of cabin refreshments. The 2023 Jeep Compass Trailhawk will gain more safety features. That includes new aids such as rear cross-traffic alert, automatic emergency braking, and blind-spot monitoring. In terms of size, Compass slots between the Renegade and Cherokee models. And while it is a compact SUV, it provides plenty of room inside the cabin.
The comfort is at a high level and you will find a lot of premium touches on the inside. Moreover, the Trailhawk trim provides a sportier vibe. The standard Compass comes with an 8.4-inch infotainment touchscreen, while Trailhawk trim level gets a larger 101.-inch display.
If you are into serious off-roading, the upcoming 2023 Jeep Compass Trailhawk might be the answer. You can find more capable off-roaders, but if you are looking for a smaller SUV with off-road capability, this is a good option. The Compass Trailhawk comes with a standard AWD system. A 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine comes as standard. You can choose between a standard six-speed automatic and nine-speed automatic transmission.
No matter what you opt for, the performances are great. 177 horsepower is not that great, so many fans would like to see more power. Some rumors are already predicting a hybrid powertrain as an option. This output will come with a 48-volt generator and it should bring more miles per gallon and also more power. The current engine delivers 172 lb-ft of torque and it gets 26 mpg combined.
