2023 Jeep A-UV is Coming to Europe, Production Starts in Poland

The upcoming 2023 Jeep A-UV is coming to the dealerships. This subcompact SUV is known as the A-UV since it has a smaller footprint than the Renegade. The A-UV model will be a combination of Stellantis and Groupe PSA’s products. In reality, the A-UV is not an official name and this model will most likely get a different name. The approaching SUV will be built in Poland and it will ride on the PSA CMP architecture.

Tychy production is about to start in November 2022 for the 2023MY. At current currency rates, the assembly factory will earn around $200 million for the A-UV plus two more A-segment crossovers from Alfa Romeo and Fiat. According to Automotive News Europe, Jeep would initially provide internal combustion engines before introducing the BEV A-UV five months later. Without further ado, here’s everything you need to know about this small model.

What About Powertrain Options?

The engine lineup is a mystery at the moment. However, the 2023 Jeep A-UV will feature some sort of electrification for sure. What engines and all-electric powertrains are mentioned in the given publication? As an example, the Peugeot 2008 is available with three-cylinder turbo engines displacing 1.2 liters, as well as 1.5-liter turbodiesel variants. The engines are using either a six-speed manual or an eight-speed automatic transmission. PureTech 100 is the entry-level model’s name, and it presumably has 100 horsepower.

This engine also has 130 horsepower, whereas the diesel-powered model has 110 and 130 horsepower. The 50-kWh battery in the e-2008 works in combination with a 136-horsepower electric motor incorporated into the front axle and a direct-drive system. According to reliable reports, the Peugeot estimates 192 miles, which is very decent for a tiny urban model with beefier suspension. We are telling this because the new A-UV model will ride on the same architecture as the mentioned model.

Jeep A-UV Wears a Recognizable Design Language

The brand-new 2023 Jeep A-UV model will be functional on a daily basis while maintaining the brand’s off-road prowess. The future ultra-compact utility vehicle will be a badass off-road Jeep. Moreover, it will slot underneath the Renegade in the Jeep lineup.

The ultra-compact utility vehicle will be roughly 157.6 inches long. This makes it shorter than the Jeep Renegade, which measures 166.5 inches long, 74.1 inches wide, and 66.4 inches tall. It will also be shorter than the new Nissan Juke but somewhat longer than the off-roader it will compete with, the Suzuki Jimny.

2023 Jeep A-UV Launch Date

The 2023 Jeep A-UV will be made next to two siblings from Alfa Romeo and Fiat in January 2023 and July 2023, according to Stellantis. All of them are candidates for electrification because, following the Dieselgate affair, European politicians took emissions restrictions seriously.

In Alfa Romeo’s case, the unnamed SUV would sit under the Tonale small crossover. As for the Fiat, the newcomer will most likely be the Punto hatchback’s replacement. Anyway, Jeep A-UV is official but this model will arrive under a different name. The price is not available yet.
