2023 Dodge Magnum to Return as an All-Electric Station Wagon?

The upcoming 2023 Dodge Magnum is making a comeback, according to the most recent reports. Magnum is not a new name in the brand’s lineup. Previously, Magnum was a model for South America and it was heavily based on the Dodge Charger car. The same thing could happen once again, per the source.

The all-new Magnum is not official yet, unfortunately. However, it seems like the return is about to happen, but this time, the Magnum model will be an electric model. Most likely, it will be the station wagon, like before, but we are waiting to hear more official details.

Charger-Like Exterior Design

The upcoming 2023 Dodge Magnum is still a rumor. However, many experts are saying that this model is making a comeback. Whatsoever, first rendering images are already available. Most likely, this station wagon will once again borrow lots of stuff from the present Charger model. That includes styling cues, mechanics and even the platform should be exactly the same.

Of course, Magnum will be longer as it is a station wagon. Dodge will surely implement a new design language, so we expect a lot of sportiness. On the other hand, the Charger car is about to introduce a new look, so Magnum is still a mystery. Anyway, we expect a distinctive model with a sporty vibe and very modern styling.

Dodge Magnum Interior

The cabin of the 2023 Dodge Magnum will once again borrow things from the Charger muscle car. We thus anticipate seeing the identical dashboard as in the Charger sedan. Of course, there’s always a possibility of borrowing the dashboard and some other interior elements from some other models. Whatsoever, don’t be surprised if the Magnum model arrives with something completely different and innovative.

The seating arrangement should remain intact. There would be two rows of seats, each with plenty of room for five passengers. The main distinction would, however, be in the cargo space, which the station wagon form would make substantially larger.

Engine Specs

As we said, the 2023 Dodge Magnum will be a model with an electric powertrain. Again, this is far from official, but Dodge plans to electrify its complete lineup of vehicles. On the other hand, if the electrification arrives in two or three-year times, then the Magnum station wagon will get a 3.6-liter V6 engine as standard. This engine can produce almost 300 horsepower.

Some speculations are predicting larger 5.7-liter Hemi V8 and even 6.4-liter V8 engines. However, that will not happen for sure. Instead, the optional engine could be a plug-in hybrid system. As you can see, there are a lot of possibilities for this model. One thing is certain and it is an eight-speed automatic transmission.

2023 Dodge Magnum Price, Release Date

The price of the all-new 2023 Dodge Magnum will start at around $30,000. On top of that, the range-topping trim levels will cost around $50,000. The sales should begin in the first quarter of 2023, reportedly. We are waiting to hear the first details about this station wagon. Hopefully, Dodge will make it official in the following weeks.
