It looks like sports cars are getting neglected. The 2023 Dodge Challenger Demon is here to change that. Dodge House’s Challenger is a well-known name. The current Challenger has been selling for over 14 years and is still doing well on the market.
There were numerous Challenger variants, with Demon being one of the most sought-after. Previously, it had the most powerful Hellcat engine, with over 840 horses. Recent versions were not as successful at preserving power as that version. Let’s see what the upcoming redesign might bring.
Interior Gets Minor Updates Only
The 2023 Dodge Challenger Demon will have a stylish but not overly luxurious interior. This means that massaging racing seats are already heated and ventilated. A small infotainment system, hopefully around 10 inches. The dashboard is digital, which is a nice step toward the future. A lot of leather and chrome are expected to be put out around the cabin as well.
Sporty Design Remains
The 2023 Dodge Challenger Demon is every bit as spectacular as we thought it would be. It will still be the sharp-looking speedster it always was. The hood has curves to signify it’s a sports model. Lightweight rims are available to shave off some weight and improve the power-to-weight ratio. There will be numerous colors available for the exterior.
Bumpers give it an aggressive look and protrude a bit. The front fascia has a small mesh but is big enough to intake air and cool the engine department. As we already mentioned, it does come with street-legal racing tires. It runs very low to the ground in order to have better aerodynamics. The overall body design is similar to its predecessors but with improvements in order to make steering better.
Dodge Challenger Demon Produces Over 700 Horsepower
The basic SRT Hellcat trim has the 6.2-liter supercharged petrol engine as a standard powertrain option. This one has a manual transmission and is a terrific option. It produces roughly 707 horsepower and 650 pound-feet of torque. The superb 8-speed automatic is standard, of course. There is also the SRT Hellcat Redeye variant, which has this engine’s enhanced version if you want something even more powerful. It can produce around 800 horses and 700 lb-ft of torque. More than enough to move the slick Hellcat around.
The 0-60 time for this vehicle is approximately 3.4 seconds, while the quarter-mile average is approximately 10.8 seconds. Remember that this variant is only offered with an eight-gear automatic transmission and that it has a few unique aesthetic elements, like “Redeye” emblems all over the vehicle. Last but not least, the Super Stock is the car’s most capable version. This one has even higher performance, with a maximum output of 810 horsepower and 700 pound-feet of torque. In addition to having more power, it also has 18-inch wheels, as well as street legal racing tires by Nitto, and a few distinctive design elements.
Poor Fuel Economy
When you buy a sports car, you don’t often think about the cost of running it. Well, the 2023 Dodge Challenger Demon gets around 18 mpg on the open road and 13 combined. This is quite expensive to keep up with, but again, it is a speedster.
2023 Dodge Challenger Demon Price and Release Date
We are expecting the Demon to hit the road sometime during 2023. The starting price is estimated at around $65,000 for the basic version. The most expensive 2023 Dodge Challenger Demon should cost around $85,000.
