The all-new 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk is getting further cosmetic upgrades and much more. So far, we saw the spy photos of the regular Grand Cherokee SUV. No doubts, the Trackhawk variant will gain similar or the same updates. New model will wear more details and it will look more athletic. On top of that, the interior is also ready for some changes, but we don’t expect significant cabin updates.
And while the regular model also offers a hybrid powertrain, Trackhawk is powered by a supercharged V8 engine. The performance is incredible and Grand Cherokee Trackhawk will rival other high-performance SUVs. That includes competitors such as Jaguar F-Pace SVR, Mercedes AMG GLE 63 S, and BMW X5 M.
2022 Grand Cherokee Trackhawk Looks Very Aggressive
Like the standard Grand Cherokee, the 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk will wear the same updates. The styling is recognizable but the Trackhawk variant looks sportier and more aggressive. The refreshed design brings a slightly larger grille and slimmer headlights. Furthermore, the front fascia looks chunky and the side profile now wears sharper lines.
The wheel arches will grow in size so Trackhawk SUV makes a standout in the crowded road. As before, Grand Cherokee Trackhawk rides on the Alfa Romeo Stelvio architecture. However, dimensions will largely remain. We don’t know what will happen with the rear section but the Jeep will show more details in the near future.
Interior Gets Larger Display
The interior of the 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk will introduce minor updates. The spy shots are not available yet but we know this SUV will look more upscale and it will offer more high-tech features. A larger infotainment system is in the works and the center stack will be slightly different from now on.
The cabin design looks simplified but this change is barely notable. The Trackhawk model comes with a sportier cabin with red accents and leather seats. Additionally, Trackhawk is generally more premium than the rest of the trim levels. The touchscreen is currently the biggest interior issue so Jeep will only improve this category by delivering larger units.
Top Speed, Acceleration
New 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk is known for its incredible performances. A 6.2-liter supercharged V8 is in use and this unit generates 707 hp and 645 lb-ft of torque. It is one of the most powerful engines that you can find, and Trackhawk will offer amazing performance. Dodge reportedly works on the improved version of the SRT Hellcat that will deliver over 710 horsepower.
Jeep will once again offer the same eight-speed automatic transmission with paddle shifters. Ride quality is quite amazing and handling is superb. This SUV sprints from 0 to 60 mph in just 2.4 seconds and its top speed is rated at 200 mph.
2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk Release Date, Price
The upcoming 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT will most likely arrive in the first quarter of 2022. The pandemic continues so this SUV definitely won’t come this year. The price will start at $90,000 or probably slightly above that. As we said, Jaguar F-Pace SVR, Mercedes AMG GLE 63 S, and BMW X5 M are the biggest rivals.
