The Macho version made its public debut in 2019. Now, the 2021 Ram Macho Power Wagon is more probable than ever before. Started as a concept, this pickup truck will finally make its way into production. Macho is known as an appearance package, and the idea is to provide a moniker of Power Wagon trim level from the 70s.
However, today’s version will bring more off-road equipment and better capability. Of course, some visual tweaks will happen for sure. Under the hood, powerful Hemi V8 should be offered as standard. On the other hand, the diesel engine is probable, but still not official.
2021 Macho Power Wagon Brings Aggressiveness
For a start, new 2021 Ram Macho Power Wagon will arrive with a 6-foot, 4-inch long bed. Just like in the concept, this pickup truck will provide a Satin Black accessory, hidden storages and much more. The Ram Rack roof system is only one of the possibilities and ideas. Larger wheels and tires are a must. The concept showed 18-inch wheels, but we expect even bigger units. Ram will offer unique exterior paints, but Macho Mango should be the most popular option.
Macho Power Wagon will bring even more aggressiveness, unique design and plenty of exterior equipment. That also includes off-road features such as winch guards, skid plates and tow hooks. Low-gloss black door handles, special running boards, larger fender flares and Led headlights will be offered as standard.
Interior Looks and Feels Premium
The Macho Mango color will also dominate the interior of the 2021 Ram Macho Power Wagon. Plenty of orange accents will be the highlight of the cabin. Accents are everywhere, on the steering wheel, seats and around the dashboard. Ram will deliver plenty of badges, larger display and latest infotainment system. This should be the next-gen Uconnect infotainment system.
This pickup truck will feature wireless charging, all-weather floor mats and similar premium features. The manufacturer will deliver an SUV-like cabin with a high level of comfort and plenty of room for the passengers.
Engine Specs and Mechanical Updates
Based on the Ram 2500, the 2021 Ram Macho Power Wagon won’t get the brand-new engine. Instead, a 6.4-liter Hemi V8 will be standard, and it will produce 410 hp. Moreover, powerful V8 delivers 430 lb-ft of torque. An optional 6.7-liter turbodiesel is probable, but this info is still not official. Indeed, many fans would be disappointed if Ram doesn’t introduce a diesel powertrain.
However, Ram will offer unique mechanics such as dual-wall five-inch exhaust tips and cold-air intake for improved performances. A six-speed automatic transmission is provided as standard. As for the manual gearbox, it is another possibility that the fans would like to see.
2021 Ram Macho Power Wagon Release Date and Price
This model won’t come cheap. The price of the 2021 Ram Macho Power Wagon should start at around $60,000. Some sources are suggesting lower price, but regular Power Wagon costs $54,000. The Coronavirus outbreak will surely reschedule its release. That means the Macho Power Wagon will most likely go on sale in 2021, instead of in 2020.
