2021 Ram 1500 Laramie Gets More Equipment and Packages

Ram will deliver plenty of luxury to all of its trim levels. That includes the upcoming 2021 Ram 1500 Laramie. It is one of the best trim levels you can get, and in 2021, this pickup truck will gain additional improvements. It isn’t the most luxurious trim level, but Laramie is right up there with the big boys.

The price is fair, in our opinion, and this pickup has so much to offer. One of the exciting things is the Snow Slow Prep Package. We will write about it in a minute. Ram will provide more technology, and it will also deliver small visual updates. As for the performance, things should remain intact.

Ram 1500 Laramie – What is New?

Ram will introduce more luxury in all of its trim levels. That also includes the forthcoming 2021 Ram 1500 Laramie. This trim level is a mid-grade trim level in terms of price. But it is closer to the premium pickup than the base Ram 1500 model. Laramie comes with a standard 8.4-inch display and 20-inch wheels. Power mirrors and windows are available as well.

The interior provides plenty of driver-assistance features. That includes forward-collision warning, lane-keeping assist, and optional safety packages. Uconnect system is up to date, and Laramie offers full-screen navigation and 12-way power driver and front passenger seats. Leather-trimmed front seats are incredible and are available with heating/ventilating system.

Snow Plow Prep Package

The 2021 Ram 1500 Laramie will offer an interesting package called “Snow Plow Prep Package.” This package equips the half-ton truck with a snow plow upfront. Moreover, Ram offers this package on Tradesman, Big Horn and Laramie trim levels. The price of the package is very reasonable, and it costs an additional $200.

It comes with a 220-amp alternator to keep up with the electrical demands of hydraulics. Moreover, there is a defroster-equipped rear power sliding window. The active front air dam is gone because the truck has to accommodate plow mounts. You can combine this package with four-wheel-drive only.

Engines

Nothing will change under the bonnet. New 2021 Ram 1500 Laramie uses a standard 3.6-liter V6 with 305 hp and 270 lb-ft of torque. A larger 5.7-liter V8 is optional once again. This gasoline engine is producing 395 horsepower and 310 lb-ft of torque. Lastly, a 3.0-liter V6 EcoDiesel is in the offer. Diesel powertrain returns 260 hp and 440 lb-ft of twisting power.

All three units are using the same eight-speed automatic transmission. On top of that, the rear-wheel-drive system remains standard, while four-wheel-drive is optional. If hybrid powertrain arrives, Laramie will feature this technology as well.

2021 Ram 1500 Laramie Release Date and Price

Pricing is unconfirmed at the moment. However, we’d expect a small jump in price. The 2021 Ram 1500 Laramie should start at $41,000. To compare, the base model will cost $32,000 and the range-topping Limited variant around $55,000. If everything goes according to plan, Ram 1500 pickup truck will reach the markets later this year.
