The upcoming 2021 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited is getting additional updates. This model will arrive later this year, along with the rest of the Wrangler’s trim levels. Wrangler is riding on its fourth-generation and over the years, this model gained the status of off-road king among the SUVs. Unlimited trim level is a four-door variant that offers plenty of luxury.
However, the 2021 model won’t introduce major changes and most of it is a carryover. Still, design is very fresh and more importantly, it looks modern and competitive. Moreover, the interior is upright and very practical. Under the hood, a well-known V6 engine is available once again.
2021 Wrangler Unlimited Exterior Changes
You can find a better-looking SUV that looks extremely modern and upscale. However, the 2021 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited comes with a tradition. Once you spot it, you just know it is a Wrangler SUV. It looks unique and adventurous. Last redesign happened recently, so we don’t expect drastic changes in 2021. Jeep will provide a couple of tweaks only.
For a start, Wrangler Unlimited will be slightly larger vehicle than its predecessor. Moreover, lighter aluminum panels are in the offer as well. The front fascia comes with a modified grille, while the headlights are a carryover. The wheel flares are differently adjusted now and complete lighting system is slightly improved. The steering wheel looks more upright and air vents are slightly revised. HVAC controls are modernized and this SUV will also introduce various display options. Everything starts from a 5-inch display that is standard. A 7-inch and 8.4-inch units are optional on the Unlimited trim level.
The infotainment system supports Android Auto and Apple CarPlay phone integrations. The glass sits taller now and we like the comfort of the leather seats. Generally, Unlimited version adds more premium touches and it looks more luxurious. Of course, Unlimited Wrangler comes with a longer list of standard features. Even the safety rating is better thanks to the latest driver-assistance technologies.
Up to Three Engine Options
Under the bonnet, new 2021 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited comes with the same 3.6-liter V6. This unit is producing 285 horsepower and 260 lb-ft of torque. A six-speed manual transmission or eight-speed automatic transmission are in the offer. You can also go for the midrange 2.0-liter turbo-four engine that delivers 270 hp and 295 lb-ft of torque. The range-topping 3.0-liter V6 turbodiesel engine is also available. Diesel variant generates 260 horses and 442 lb-ft of twisting power. A four-wheel-drive setup is standard on all Unlimited models.
2021 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Price and Release Date
Jeep didn’t announce the price of its arriving 2021 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited. This SUV will hit the dealerships this fall and it will cost around $36,000. Its maximum price is rated at $46,500. The four-door SUV will compete with the models such as Land Rover Discovery Sport and Toyota 4Runner.
