The commemorated Jeep’s eight-decade existence, the brand will introduce six all-new “80th Anniversary Edition” models. The 2021 Jeep Wrangler 80th Anniversary Edition seems to be a model that catches the most attention, for some reason. Beside Wrangler, other Jeep’s SUVs will get the same treatment, including Grand Cherokee, Cherokee, Compass, and Renegade.
Moreover, the Gladiator pickup will get the same edition as well. Most of the changes that this edition brings are visual. Both the interior and exterior will get various refinements and unique features. Under the hood, nothing will change, according to Jeep. Here’s what the new 80th Anniversary Edition Wrangler has to offer.
2021 Wrangler 80th Anniversary Edition Changes
The upcoming 2021 Jeep Wrangler 80th Anniversary Edition will gain a couple of interesting exterior upgrades. For a start, this edition comes with 18-inch wheels finished in Granite Crystal. Moreover, Jeep offers new Bridgestone All-Terrain tires as well. The front fascia gets Neutral Grey Metallic bezels on the grille and new headlight rings. The fog lamps are also getting new bezels and we like body-colored fender flares.
In order to celebrate eight decades of existence, Jeep will add unique commemorative badging. As for the exterior paints, 80th Anniversary Edition is available in Bright White, Granite Crystal, and Hella Yella Black colors. Moreover, this SUV offers colors such as Sting-Gray, Sarge, Firecracker Red, and Snazzberry.
Interior Adds More Luxury
The interior of the 2021 Jeep Wrangler 80th Anniversary Edition will introduce more luxury. It is a model that is more premium than the base trim level. However, we don’t know on which trim this edition is based on. On the other hand, we know what updates are becoming available. Jeep will introduce black diamond embossed cloth seats. This clearly suggests that the 80th Anniversary Edition is not based on one of the luxury trim levels.
The same seats are getting a unique tag. The Light Tungsten interior accent stitching looks incredibly stylish, alongside with Anodized Gunmetal dashboard mid-bolsters. On top of that, Wrangler SUV will arrive with brand-new Berber floor mats with the same accent stitching. However, not everything about this edition is strictly visual. Jeep will deliver remote start and next-gen 8.4-inch Uconnect touchscreen.
Performance Will Remain
Performance-wise, the new 2021 Jeep Wrangler 80th Anniversary Edition won’t introduce any change. That means this edition can be had with a standard 3.6-liter V6. This gasoline engine is capable of producing 285 hp and 265 lb-ft of torque. Wrangler comes with both manual and automatic transmission options.
The diesel powertrain is also available and it is a 3.0-liter V6 with 265 hp and 445 lb-ft of torque. Lastly, the Wrangler 4xe Plug-In Hybrid variant is something new. This model comes with a 17.3-kWh lithium-ion battery, electric motor, and a 2.0-liter turbo-four engine. Total output is rated at 375 horses and 470 lb-ft of twisting power.
2021 Jeep Wrangler 80th Anniversary Edition Price
As we said, the manufacturer hasn’t mentioned on which trim this edition is based on. However, we know the price of the Jeep Wrangler 80th Anniversary Edition will start at $36,000 for the two-door model and $39,500 for the four-door version. The sales will begin in the last quarter of 2020.
