2021 Jeep Gladiator Mojave is Ready For the Desert

The approaching 2021 Jeep Gladiator Mojave made its debut at the Chicago Auto Show, a few weeks ago. Some people are looking at Mojave version as a good alternative for models such as Chevy Colorado ZR2 or Ford F-150 Raptor. However, Jeep will deliver an astonishing version so it is rude to call it alternative.

It will be a strong option in this particular market and it is a relatively fresh model. Mojave comes with a “Desert Rated” badge so expect impressive fording and climbing abilities. Mojave will look more aggressive than the regular Gladiator pickup and it will introduce numerous mechanical upgrades.

In terms of design, the new 2021 Jeep Gladiator Mojave looks meaner than the regular version. Whatsoever, Mojave comes with Rubicon’s red tow hooks and it also borrows its orange accents. Three-piece removable corners are providing a unique approach angle of 44.7 degrees. This model offers standard 17-inch wheels, along with the new side rails. The front skid plate looks all-new, just like a 33-inch Falken Wildpeak all-terrain tires. Finally, Mojave comes with 11.6-inches of ground clearance.

The interior of the new 2021 Jeep Gladiator Mojave will look very interesting. Mojave adds a couple of more standard amenities over the base model. Moreover, it comes with beautiful contrast stitching on the dash, handbrake, steering wheel, and the seats. The customers can choose between the Black or Steel Gray interior schemes. Moreover, the leather upholstery is optional. Still, comfort is more than solid, even with the regular cloth materials.

The front seats are available with larger bolsters and Jeep will provide more orange accents as well. Mojave comes with a new off-road plus driving mode. This mode will modify the throttle response and traction control. This is more than useful during the high-speed ride on the rocky terrains or sand.

Engine Specs and Mechanics Changes

The forthcoming 2021 Jeep Gladiator Mojave will ride on a 3.6-liter V6. The same engine will power the regular Gladiator version, along with numerous company’s SUVs. It is the most reliable Jeep’s output and it delivers 285 horsepower. Moreover, its torque is rated at 260 lb-ft. Mojave will have an option of a 6-speed manual transmission. On the other hand, the 8-speed automatic gearbox will be standard.

No matter which transmission you choose, a four-wheel-drive system comes as standard. Additionally, a two-speed transfer case is available too. The 2021 Gladiator Mojave offers locking rear differential and its suspension is tuned. Thanks to that, Mojave will provide a somewhat sportier ride and it will improve the vehicle’s response.

The price of the new 2021 Jeep Gladiator Mojave will start at around $40,000. Jeep presented its new model at the Chicago Auto Show this month. The first reactions are more than positive and we can safely predict for this pickup to become a huge success. The sale will start in the coming months.
