The return of an iconic Viper supercar will happen in a two-year time. The 2021 Dodge Viper is about to make a huge comeback and the arriving model will be all-new. The production ended two years ago and this Shelby 427 Cobra-inspired model will get a complete redesign now.
The previous Viper was available with a legendary V10 engine and now new model will look to offer an even more potent V8 unit. Besides numerous mechanical details, the 2021 Viper will get extensive aluminum and carbon fiber bodywork. This car will be most likely introduced next year at the North American International Auto Show.
2021 Dodge Viper Offers Sporty Exterior
The 2021 Dodge Viper will arrive with the extreme exterior redesign. Not only the car will look different, but it will also be significantly lighter. Chrysler will introduce further aluminum and carbon fiber materials that will make new Viper lose some weight. Moreover, Viper offers independent front and rear suspensions and lighter platform.
The all-new 2021 Viper will look like its predecessor, however, it will be more modern styling with the amazing aerodynamics. Hood will be longer and the car will wear more pronounced character lines that will provide more aggressiveness. Of course, we don’t need to write about this car’s sportiness.
2021 Dodge Viper Interior Rumors
The interior details are not available yet. However, the 2021 Dodge Viper will surely offer room for two passengers from the inside. Comfort is more than good thanks to the sporty and supportive seats. The steering wheel comes without the telescoping technology but power-adjustable pedals will be available. We don’t know anything about trim levels either.
However, we believe that even the base Viper will deliver premium leather upholstery with the Alcantara inserts. On top of that, new Viper will arrive with the Harman/Kardon audio system with 12 speakers, Wi-Fi, and the new Uconnect system. Moreover, this car is about to add a larger display and more safety equipment.
2021 Dodge Viper Comes With New V8 Engine
The previous versions of Dodge Viper were offering an iconic V10 engine. However, Chrysler is into downsizing when it comes to everything. Car’s overall weight will be reduced and American carmaker will add a smaller aluminum-block V8 engine. While the information is not official yet, reliable sources are suggesting a 550 horsepower V8 unit that will look to compete with the like of Corvette Zora ZR1.
According to speculations, Chrysler will develop the naturally-aspirated V8 in the near future and it will produce up to 700 HP. That means the 2021 Dodge Viper will probably offer multiple performances levels and packages. We are still waiting for the official details about the new V8 engine and its transmission. When it comes to transmission, there is a great possibility for Chrysler to keep its current manual gearbox.
Price and Release Date
The 2021 Dodge Viper will cost around $90,000 or slightly below that. Car experts are expecting the all-new Viper to arrive at the North American Auto Show next year before it starts with the sales in 2021.
