However, a vehicle’s shape won’t be changed. We can expect tougher SUV this time. The latest updates will include tougher frame and stronger front fascia. More importantly, Durango SRT will remain sporty and attractive as always before.
Engine Specs, Acceleration, Towing Capacity
Durango SUV offers numerous engine options. However, the 2021 Dodge Durango SRT offers only one engine. It is a 6.4-liter Hemi V8. It can produce up to 475 horsepower and 470 lb-ft of torque. On top of that, a TorqueFlight 8-speed transmission is available. With this unit, the SRT variant accelerates from 0 to 60 mph in 4.4 seconds. Durango SRT can tow 8,700 pounds which is the best towing capacity in its class. Still, this SUV manages to deliver only 13 mpg in the city and 19 mpg on the highway.
Now, the rumors about a new 7.0-liter Hemi V8 are looking possible. However, we already saw the SRT Pursuit version and its 797 hp 6.2-liter supercharged V8. On top of that, this model packs astonishing 707 lb-ft of torque. SRT Pursuit is not available on the markets but this engine could power the 2021 Durango SRT.
Exterior Facelift
The upcoming 2021 Dodge Durango SRT will get a couple of upgrades. Whatsoever, the base model will introduce changes and the SRT version will follow that path. This high-performance SUV will suffer slight modifications upfront. The front fascia will look more premium with new shiny trims and chrome accents. The grille and the air dam are wider than before.
Thanks to that, air intakes are bigger as well. LED headlights will feature a slightly different shape and turn indicators are all-new. The hood looks very aggressive and 20-inch wheels remain standard. In the back, we don’t expect major changes. Finally, the new 2021 Durango SRT could get one or two new exterior colors.

The all-new 2021 Dodge Durango SRT will cost around $65,000. It is a significant year for this SUV due to its latest platform switch. As we already wrote, Durango SRT will ride on a body-on-frame architecture from now on. This model will hit the dealerships in late 2020, possibly next September.
