At last, we know when the 2021 Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat will enter the production. The muscle car will reportedly arrive in the first half of 2021. The production will start this November and FCA will look to deliver plenty of refreshments. New Charger SRT Hellcat will get Redeye treatment as well. The sporty sedan will also arrive in the Widebody variant so the customers will have a couple of interesting options.
For 2021, this model will get a couple of essential updates but the highlight is still its engine. Famous Hellcat engine will produce over 700 horses. Acceleration is truly impressive, so if you are looking for a sporty and fast car, this is the answer.
2021 Charger SRT Hellcat Facelift
The all-new 2021 Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat will look very aggressive. This car comes with plenty of sporty details and FCA will try to improve that. For a start, wider wheel arches are visible at first glance. The bumpers are bolder and the rear spoiler will arrive as a body-colored exterior feature.
The diffuser is also enlarged and FCA will opt for two exhaust pipes as before. As for the Redeye version, it will be only available as a Widebody. Visually, this model will arrive with modified hood and larger scoop upfront. On top of that, Redeye grille is visible and it looks very unique.
Interior Largely Remains
On the inside, the 2021 Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat will look the same as its predecessor. Dodge won’t deliver significant changes at all. Instead, the manufacturer will opt for subtle upgrades. However, FCA will update the technology, including the infotainment system.
The cabin looks sporty and the comfort is great. Some parts are very elegant and premium. Still, a 7.0-inch touchscreen remains, but it could gain new graphics and simpler menus. New safety aids are a must so expect a couple of optional driver-assistance features.
Engine Specs, Redeye Version Adds More Power
Nothing changes under the hood. The 2021 Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat will continue with its 6.2-liter supercharged V8 engine. Famous Hellcat engine is able to produce 707 horsepower and up to 650 lb-ft of torque. A rear-wheel-drive system comes as standard. Thanks to that, this sedan accelerates from 0 to 62 mph in just 3.6 seconds. The top speed has been rated at 204 mph and Widebody variant at 196 mph.
Interestingly, you can now get the Redeye version that delivers even more power. This is one of the most powerful cars in the world. On the other hand, its fuel efficiency is far from good. Only 13 mpg in the city makes Charger SRT Hellcat a very bad model in terms of fuel economy ratings. For 2021, FCA will deliver a standard electric power steering system.
2022 Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat Release Date and Price
Once again, the price of the 2021 Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat won’t cost below $70,000. If you want the Widebody kit, you’ll have to pay additional $6,500.
The sales will start in the first half of 2021. The production will begin this November in the United States. Lastly, the Redeye treatment will debut later next year.
