According to the latest reports, the new 2021 Dodge Challenger SRT will arrive with even more power. It seems like Dodge took another huge step forward in terms of improving the performance. The current Challenger SRT Hellcat Redeye is the most powerful variant at the moment. It packs 797 horsepower, and it delivers a simply astonishing performance.
Now, thanks to the Super Stock package, it will gain even more power, up to 807 hp. This package means “extra” in every possible way. It uses the same supercharged engine, but it will cost more, at around $80k. On the other hand, it is a $3000 upgrade and it definitely worth that money. New Challenger will gain various updates, including visual changes and interior improvements.
10 Additional Horsepower
The 2021 Dodge Challenger SRT will gain even more power. It will use the same 6.2-liter supercharged V8 engine. While the current variant delivers 797 hp, the new model will arrive with 807 horsepower and 707 lb-ft of torque. That is an extra 10 horsepower for this powerful model. It may sound like it isn’t such a significant improvement. However, it is.
New Challenger SRT with loaded Super Stock package will sprint from 0 to 60 mph in 3.25 seconds, which is truly impressive. That is 1.5 seconds quicker than the Hellcat Redeye version. Of course, Dodge will provide additional mechanical upgrades, including tweaked suspension and limited-slip differential that is performance-tuned.
2021 Challenger SRT Design
The upcoming 2021 Dodge Challenger SRT won’t change that much in terms of design. However, the Super Stock variant will deliver further updates. Based on the Hellcat Redeye Widebody, the Super Stock package comes with the same widebody that will add 3.5 inches of width. This model also comes with bigger wheel arches attached to the rear and front fenders.
18-inch wheels are finished in Gloss Granite and are available with a five-spoke design. New tires are in the offer, and this should provide a better grip than the previous tires. There will be up to 13 different exterior paints. That includes colors such as Go Mango, IndiGo Blue, Octane Red, F8 Green, and TorRed.
Interior Updates
To this moment, Dodge didn’t provide interior details. That means the 2021 Dodge Challenger SRT should be a carryover. We wouldn’t be surprised to see a couple of minor updates, but a significant upgrade will surprise everyone. The interior is very customizable, so you can buy a new Challenger without the rear seats. That means you will get a lighter model that will be slightly quicker.
Everything on the inside looks sporty, including the seats that are providing great comfort. Leather-wrapped flat-bottom steering will remain, and it also comes with the paddle shifters. The speedometer is a mystery for now, along with the standard and optional displays. Like the exterior, the interior also provides a wide choice of color schemes.
2021 Dodge Challenger SRT Release Date and Price
The price of the 2021 Dodge Challenger SRT should start at around $80,000. The mentioned Super Stock package will cost an additional $3,000, which isn’t much, given the number of upgrades the package offers. The sales will begin in the first quarter of 2021.
