The upcoming 2021 Chrysler Pacifica will arrive with some serious upgrades. Pacifica is already one of the best minivans on the market right now. For 2020, Chrysler already developed a new AWD system. In 2021, this model will get further improvements.
Ride quality will be better and we can expect numerous changes in design and styling. Interior will mostly remain and only some high-tech features will gain needed updates. As for the performance, powerful V6 will remain the standard option. On top of that, the hybrid model is available once again.
2021 Chrysler Pacifica Redesign
The all-new 2021 Chrysler Pacifica will get mid-cycle refreshments in terms of design. The manufacturer will keep the current vehicle’s dimensions. However, upgrades are far from significant. On the other hand, new Pacifica will surely look better than its predecessor. The front fascia comes with a sharper look, reshaped bumpers, and headlights. The hood features new and bolder lines.
To the sides, 20-inch alloy wheels are looking astonishing. Chrysler will also install more carbon fiber materials. More aluminum will slightly reduce the weight of the 2021 Pacifica. On top of that, aerodynamics is slightly improved as well. The rear design will mostly remain, only the bumpers are longer than before.
Cabin Won’t Suffer Drastic Changes
Inside the cabin, new 2021 Chrysler Pacifica will look amazing. It is one of the best, if not the best interior design in the segment. Comfort is great and layout is so perfect and simple. However, the 2021 model won’t suffer drastic interior changes. Only some high-tech features will gain updates.
That includes infotainment system and interface of the displays. We can also expect some new standard and optional features. For instance, a rear-view camera is standard now. This Minivan will also gain numerous safety features but most of them will be optional. Interior layout will largely remain and there will be room for seven passengers.
Powertrain Performance
There are so many doubts about the upcoming model. The 2021 Chrysler Pacifica will surely ride on the same 3.6-liter V6 engine. However, the optional powertrain is still a mystery. Standard V6 generates 287 hp and 267 lb-ft of torque. A 9-speed automatic transmission will be offered as standard.
The new all-wheel-drive system will improve the ride quality, significantly. Whatsoever, Pacifica and Toyota Sienna are the only minivans in the United States with this setup. We are still waiting for more specific details about the possible optional engine.
2021 Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid
Pacifica offers such a modern design and comfortable cabin. Thanks to its new AWD system, this minivan is already above the rest of the competition. However, the biggest advantage is surely a hybrid drivetrain. The 2021 Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid will arrive at the same time as the regular gasoline model.
Dimensionally, gasoline and hybrid models are the same. Whatsoever, the design is exactly the same. Pacifica Hybrid will use two electric generators that are mated to a standard V6 unit. Total output is rated at almost 300 horses and mileage is impressive. Chrysler promises 35 miles on electric power and 85 MPGe. That is more than enough to beat the rivals.
Price and Release Date
The price of the standard model starts at around $30,000. Loading an optional AWD will cost you an additional $2,000. Pacifica Hybrid will be priced at $35,000.
All models and trims will arrive at the same time. The 2021 Chrysler Pacifica will hit the dealerships in the second half of 2020.
