2020 Ram 1500 Powertrain

The approaching 2020 Ram 1500 Regular Cab offers two powertrain choices, at least for now. The speculated diesel engine is yet to be announced. The standard 3.6-liter V6 remains and it can produce up to 305 horses and 269 lb-ft of torque. The optional 5.7-liter Hemi V8 is capable of generating 395 horsepower and 310 lb-ft of torque.

Both engines are proven and reliable. Whatsoever, both engines are present for years now. While we wait for the diesel variant, at least hybrid version is certain to happen. Ram will look to mate standard 3.6-liter V6 and a single electric motor.

Electric motor should add an additional 90 lb-ft of torque. The speculated diesel engine is the 3.0-liter V6 that returns 260 hp and 440 lb-ft of torque.
