V6 Pentastar engine is standard while the Hemi V8 is an optional unit. Both of these powertrains could be mated to an electric motor. However, while the hybrid system won’t provide more power, better torque figures and higher mileage are guaranteed.

Electric motor with the standard 3.6-liter V6 will be located up front between the grille and engine block. On the other hand, the same motor paired with the V8 engine sits on top of the engine. V8 unit will cost an additional $1,450. 3.6-liter V6 will be rated 325 hp and 360 lb-ft of torque. The 5.7-liter V8 Hemi is rated at 415 horsepower and 440 lb-ft of torque. Most importantly, the 2020 Ram 1500 Hybrid will deliver amazing fuel economy. The mileage numbers will jump from 22 mpg to 30 mpg combined.

The upcoming base Ram 1500 pickup truck will start at $32,000. The 2020 Ram 1500 Hybrid will cost around $40,000 and it will offer a much better overall efficiency. Loading all optional amenities could lead to a price around $60,000. The full-size pickup truck will hit the dealerships later this year.
