The all-new 2020 Chrysler 200 is a family sedan that comes with superb handling, sophisticated AWD system, and amazing interior. However, some questions were raised about the 2020 model. Whatsoever, during the Detroit Auto Show, Chrysler suggested that the Chrysler 200 and Dodge Dart could face a discount. Sergio Marchione spoked about this issue and he said the sedans are a bad investment nowadays. It is true because the sedan market requires enormous investments that might not pay off at all.

However, the 2020 Chrysler 200 will happen, at least for another year. On the other hand, the new model won’t bring too many upgrades. Performance is good and the sedan is offering two engine options. Chrysler 200 also offers numerous packages and trim levels. The hybrid model is still a rumor for now.

The upcoming 2020 Chrysler 200 comes with a sporty design that looks modern and sleek. Its coupe-like appearance is looking very upscale and attractive. A four-door sedan wears slightly larger front grille now with Chrysler’s badge in the middle of it. Projector-beam headlights are standard once again and Chrysler offers plenty of standard exterior features. 17-inch alloy wheels are still optional, along with the rain-sensing wipers. On the other hand, power windows and a rearview camera are standard. Higher trim levels are very luxurious.

Unfortunately, Chrysler 200 should serve as an inspiration for the upcoming carmaker’s sedans. But now, at this moment, it seems Chrysler won’t build another sedan. SUVs and trucks are simply dominating the market.

If you are an economical person, standard 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine is perhaps the perfect choice. This engine is producing 185 HP and 175 lb-ft of torque.

Fuel economy is rated at 23 mpg in the city and 36 mpg on the highway. On the other hand, optional 3.6-liter V6 Pentastar engine delivers 295 horsepower and 262 lb-ft of torque. Fuel economy is significantly lower, 18 mpg in the city and 28 mpg on the highway. Both units are available with a 9-speed automatic transmission.

The price of the brand-new 2020 Chrysler 200 will stay intact. Starting price of $24,500 sounds good for such a luxurious sedan. However, range-topping trim level will cost $40,000.

The price is in line with the rivals such as Toyota Camry, Ford Fusion and Honda Accord. However, Chrysler 200 is not a leader in any of the categories and it lacks hybrid drivetrain. It seems like the American carmaker could ax this sedan in the near future. Whatsoever, the 2020 model will hit the markets later in 2019.
